Challenge.
Angola loves music and dance. Unitel, one of the largest telecom operators on the African continent, challenged Born to help develop its presence and association with the country's music market by bringing Angolans closer together and accelerating technological development. One of the highlights would be the creation of a festival.
Naming.
Whether small or big moments, everything is celebrated. The ‘Festa da Música’ festival was born from this insight, highlighting the dynamic role of music in Angolan culture.
Deployment.
As one of Unitel's greatest assets, the stage was designed to offer a new musical experience through technology, establishing the brand as an aggregator and innovator. We created a giant platform with video mapping that involved the public in a new live music experience. We also developed the branding for the catering areas, the programme of activities and the rest of the festival spaces.
We didn't want the music to end, so we decided to do an encore that reinforced technological innovation: we created and produced the Unitel NetShows, where the country's most prominent artists gave concerts to a 100% online audience, accelerating the digitalisation of this market in Angola.
To celebrate Angola's musical wealth, we created Encontro de Gerações, bringing together established artists with new talents for concerts, digital content, an album and a documentary shown in cinemas.
Impact.
With nine editions already under its belt, ‘Festa da Música’ is Angola's biggest live music event. Just as music brings us together, the combination of all these formats increased established Unitel as an aggregator of innovative experiences. After all, this is its mission: to empower Angolans through technological acceleration.
